NT Highlights Role as ASEAN Digital Hub at TELECOMS WORLD ASIA 2024

National Telecom Public Company Limited (NT) participated in TELECOMS WORLD ASIA 2024, reaffirming its position as a leading telecommunications provider in Thailand and the ASEAN Digital Hub. With robust telecommunications infrastructure and stable international network connections, NT demonstrated its readiness to support the region’s digital economy. The convention took place from 19–20 November 2024 at the Convention Centre, 22nd floor, Centara Grand Hotel at CentralWorld, Bangkok.
The event featured Professor Wisit Wisitsora-at, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Digital Economy and Society, who presented Thailand’s vision for advancing the digital economy in Asia. Under the topic “Strengthening the Digital Economy in Asia: Insights from Thailand,” he highlighted the country’s efforts to develop telecommunications infrastructure, expand 5G networks, and enhance cloud platforms. He also discussed the government’s ‘Tang Rat’ application, designed to integrate multiple public services into a single digital platform. These initiatives aim to attract global technology investments and position Thailand as a digital technology hub.
Colonel Sanpachai Huvanandana, President, National Telecom Public Company Limited (NT), spoke on the topic “Telco as a National Service – Keeping a Billion Customers Connected.” He detailed NT’s role in managing Thailand’s telecommunications infrastructure, enhancing connectivity through submarine and terrestrial cable systems, and preparing for the transition to 6G. NT also supports the digital ecosystem’s development through services such as cloud computing, cybersecurity, big data, and AI Connect. Additionally, NT provides Government Cloud Services (GDCC) to improve public digital services, reinforcing its commitment to driving sustainable economic and social progress.
Ms. Ubonpan Chuenchom, Vice President of Carrier Customer Businesses Department, National Telecom Public Company Limited (NT), participated in a seminar titled “What’s Next for Wholesale in Asia,” addressing the company’s plans to support the growing wholesale market.
At the exhibition, NT showcased its concept “Connecting Opportunities, Powering Growth,” emphasising its role in promoting business and facilitating ASEAN’s digital connectivity through stable and diverse infrastructure. The display attracted significant interest from telcos, content providers, and OTT platforms.
TELECOMS WORLD ASIA 2024, Asia’s largest telecommunications summit, brought together over 1,000 telecommunications leaders and digital solution providers, highlighting Thailand’s pivotal role in the region’s digital transformation.
