This is a genuine, limited edition S. T. Dupont 1996 Art Deco Ligne 2 Lighter. #552/2500.
At the end of the 1910s, decorators sought to break away from the sinuous curves of Art Nouveau. They found many new sources of inspiration; traditional and contemporary, European and exotic.
Thus differing styles such as African art and Neo-classicism provided the powerful momentum for a new decorative movement that saw the arabesques of Art Nouveau make way for pure, stylised lines.
With "Art Deco," S.T. Dupon offers a limited series inspired by the designs presented at the Decorative Arts exhibition held in Paris in April 1925. This unique lighter is created with resolutely modern forms, chased in gold with red and black Chinese lacquer.
It comes in the original presentation box with all the paperwork, booklets, and international warranty card.
