ANTIQUE INVALID FEEDER
Lovely antique embossed porcelain invalid feeder measuring approximately 6-1/2" long and 2" tall. Featuring an oval cup with applied decorative handle, molded gooseneck spout with raised scroll and scallop design, it has a half spill oval opening, and was designed to serve soup to a bed ridden invalid or pap to a child. Dating to around 1900, it is covered in a lovely transferware design on each side of floral swag, tall handled basket filled with flowers and accented by a green ribbon and bow. In excellent condition with no chips, cracks, hairlines, repairs or discoloration - a hint of wear to the transferware design and gold paint trimming the edges. Just an interesting and unusual old feeder - nice addition to any collection!
