ARTIFACT:
This is a late 1940's uniform patch for TWA (Trans World Airlines) International Cargo Division. Transcontinental & Western Airlines became Trans World Airlines in late 1945. The red-bordered twill patch has a set of miniature wings outlined in blue.
VINTAGE:
Circa late 1940's.
SIZE:
Approximately 2-7/16” in height and 4-3/8” in width.
CONSTRUCTION/MATERIALS:
Twill embroidered in cotton/silk threads.
