Description

This gorgeous Artist doll is in fine original condition including her amazing French style glass paperweight eyes, her caracul wig, and she is painted as a child. She is made of fine porcelain and was designed and made by famous porcelain doll artist Linda Steele. The doll is signed and numbered, too.
What's most fascinating about this sweet little girl is that she looks like a "real" child with her pouty lips, her incredibly realistic paperweight style glass eyes and her black caracul wig.  Her clothing is impeccable and she was made in a sitting position so she can sit in any doll size chair with ease. (We show her sitting in a blue wooden rocking chair for sale in a separate auction).
She's perfect in this chair!
As you can see in our picture, she wears her starched white underwear with delicate lace trim, pants brown socks and leather shoes. Her dress is cream and hunter green striped. She also wears little golden heart shaped earrings in her pierced ears. Her hair is tied I pigtails with white satin ribbons and a longer satin ribbon tied in a bow around her neck. So CUTE!
She is signed by the artist on the back of her head and number 19 of 2000 dolls made in this limited edition. That's a "very" low number in an edition of this size, which makes her much more valuable with collectors. We've seen other priced in the hundred's of dollars, however our client has just reduced her price, allowing some lucky collector to bring her home for a fraction of her true value.
Her delicate hands are posed and show dimples in each hand, finger dimples and nails, too. Her hands knees, and elbows are lightly blushed.
Her facial expression suggests she enjoys getting into typical childhood mischief and wonderment.
Her facial features are beautifully painted- her cheeks are lightly blushed against her porcelain skin. Her brows are perfectly painted in multi strokes,  she has single stroke painted eyelashes and upper hair-like delicate lashes. Her French style paperweight glass eyes are a light brown with the perfect life-sparkle in them. In the finest antique porcelain dolls made in France a hundred years ago, Paperweight eyes were designed to give dolls a realistic "look" If you look at this dolls profile, her eyes POP out a bit proving they are French Paperweight type of eyes. The eyes alone are quite expensive, but give such a beautiful look to the dolls, the cost is worth every penny!
The doll was originally purchased at a UFDC (United Federation of Doll Clubs ) National convention many years ago (1995) and has been part of a large prestigious collection ever since.  She is in Mint condition, is clean and comes from a non-smoking household. She will be carefully packed and shipped.
It has been enjoyed by the collector for many years, but she has now decided to allow another collector to enjoy this lovely doll, too.
