Antique W.T. & C. Germany Infant Invalid Feeding Bowl

Antique pottery invalid feeding bowl for young children and infants. This one, made by W.T. & C. Germany, is in fantastic condition, with no chips or cracks and only very subtle signs of wear, despite its age. The design is blue onion. It has a nice clean stamp and almost all of the decorative gold accenting is intact - rare for these pieces. The bowl is designed for feeding a young person broth while they are sick in bed - possibly onion based given the design motif. The pot measures about 5 1/2" including the spout and about 4 1/2" including the handle, and the bowl is about 2" high. An intriguing and charming piece, evoking a sense of nurturing family.
